about_inner

Interamerican Bank is committed to serving the financial needs of everyone in its community. We take special pride in our community and provide our customers with excellent personal service. Our officers and staff are involved in many community events. At Interamerican Bank, we make sure that our staff understands the language, culture and needs of the community it serves, and we strive to maintain and enhance our public image as a quality and friendly place to bank. We believe that each and every customer is special.

Our reputation and a high level of public confidence in the bank are extremely important. That is why most of the bank’s original customers still maintain their accounts at Interamerican Bank. This “at home” feeling of our bank’s customers is passed on to the following generations, and these customers’ children and grandchildren also do business with us today. We pride ourselves on being one of the few banking institutions in which anyone can come into our main office lobby and speak with the President.

Interamerican Bank constantly strives to be competitive in today’s rapidly changing world of finance, while maintaining its commitment as a community bank. We offer competitive savings, checking, money market, certificate of deposit, consumer loans and mortgage loans, just to name a few. Interamerican Bank’s investments in the community include a wide range of single-family fixed rate home loans (FHA, VA, etc.) with terms ranging from 15 to 30 years, as well as apartment buildings and commercial real estate loans. We take great pride in the financing the construction of new homes, apartment buildings and commercial real estate such as warehouses and small shopping centers within our community. On the consumer side, the bank provides open-ended home equity credit lines, car loans, and unsecured credit lines.

As we continue to grow and expand, Interamerican Bank hopes to always stay close to its community and to keep service to its customers a number one priority. Whether at one of our branches or on the Internet, we look forward to serving your financial needs.

FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION (FDIC)

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is an independent agency of the United States government that protects the funds depositors place in banks and savings associations. FDIC insurance is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. Since the FDIC was established in 1933, no depositor has ever lost a single penny of FDIC-insured funds.

FDIC insurance covers all deposit accounts, including checking and savings accounts, money market deposit accounts and certificates of deposit. FDIC insurance does not cover other financial products and services that banks may offer, such as stocks, bonds, mutual fund shares, life insurance policies, annuities or securities.

The standard insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category.

The FDIC provides separate coverage for deposits held in different account ownership categories. Depositors may qualify for more coverage if they have funds in different ownership categories and all FDIC requirements are met. (For details on the requirements, go to www.fdic.gov/deposit/deposits.)
